| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Este artigo analisa o direito fundamental à moradia previsto na Constituição Federal de 1988 e as consequências negativas advindas da negação desse direito, por meio de acontecimentos relativos a vida de três personagens do romance O cortiço, de Aluísio Azevedo, e com fundamento nas teorias do reconhecimento de Charles Taylor e Axel Honneth. Com esse objetivo, inicialmente, são tecidas considerações sobre o período literário em que a obra se situa, a época em que foi escrita e o contexto sócio-jurídico em que a intriga se desenvolve. Posteriormente, são trazidos dados recentes a respeito da precariedade das condições de moradia no Brasil. O artigo finaliza abordando a importância da inclusão da moradia como direito fundamental na Constituição de 1988 e a sua relação com o reconhecimento de identidades cidadãs. |
| Abstract: | This article analyzes the fundamental right to housing provided for in the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the negative consequences of the denial of this right, through events related to the life of three characters in the novel O cortiço by Brazilian writer Aluísio Azevedo and based on the theories of recognition by Charles Taylor and Axel Honneth. For this purpose, initially, considerations are made regarding the literary period in which the work is situated, the time in which it was written and the socio-juridical context in which the intrigue unfolds. Subsequently, recent data on the precarious conditions of housing in Brazil are brought. The article ends by addressing the importance of the inclusion of housing as a fundamental right in the 1988 Constitution and its relation with the recognition of citizen identities. |
