Abstract: The official version of the story is told from the perspective of the winner. It ends up having a uncritical and justifying historical view of various barbarities committed throughout humanity, notably against the black population. This vision, in addition to being partial, has often treated - and - to make their experiences invisible, characterizing them as non-existent or non-credible. Within this historical panorama that builds society and instills subjectivities, individuals are forged from racist, sexist, homophobic social precepts, etc. In this perspective is that these invisible populations seek to emerge, notably in their self-worth as a way of counterculture and counterpower, in the counter-hegemonic use of their own knowledge. So, through theoretical analysis, this article aims to investigate the contribution of the hip-hop movement in the process of valuing the culture produced in the periphery, verifying how construction takes place of hip-hop identity and the processes of invisibilization and the possibilities that open up in the life of the young black man from the eriphery, going through the history of the movement until his arrival in the Spirit Santo and its interrelation with the Law. It is proposed to contribute to the debate, investigating the potential of hip-hop, to conclude the movement as a real field of possibilities for a different tomorrow.
