metadata.dc.description.resumo: | Pesquisa realizada na Constituição Política do Império do Brazil de 1824 e legislação subsidiária do século XIX. Tem por objetivo deslindar o conceito de Dotação da Família Imperial, instituto expresso em 10 artigos na Constituição de 1824. Traz como problema de pesquisa entender os significados da expres-são “Dotação da Família Imperial” e descrever sua importância e conteúdos demonstrando que a Constituição de 1824 garantia a propriedade dos bens materiais e imateriais e assegurava pelo instituto da Dotação uma série de direitos financeiros à família real, dentre eles: remuneração ao Rei, à esposa, pensão aos príncipes, às princesas, mordomos particulares para cuidar do acervo patrimonial, dote, educação com docente particular individual, et. em contraposição ao que se almejava na Europa do século XIX, contrária ao modus vivendi monárquico. A Metodologia proposta foi uma pesquisa histórica e des-critiva com tratamentos de dados qualitativos, tendo como fontes primarias a Constituição de 1824 e o Decreto 151/1840. O método que deu suporte à pesquisa foi o indiciarismo. Os resultados demonstraram que a Dotação orça-mentária foi importante instituto defendido pela monarquia e elite e dentre outros elementos, serviu como arrimo de poder e política |
Abstract: | Research carried out in the Political Constitution of the Empire of Brazil of 1824 and subsidiary legislation of the nineteenth century. Its purpose is to define the concept of Imperial Family Endowment, an institute expressed in 10 articles in the Constitution of 1824. It has as a research problem to understand the meanings of the expression “Endowment of the Imperial Family” and to describe its importance and contents, demonstrating that the Constitution of 1824 guaranteed the ownership of material and immaterial goods and provided by the Institute of the Endowment a series of financial rights to the royal family, among them: remuneration to the King, wife, pensions to princes, princesses, private butlers to take care of the assets, , Education with individual private teacher, et. In contrast to what was sought in nineteenth-century Europe, contrary to the monarchical modus vivendi. The proposed Methodology was a historical and descriptive research with qualitative data treatments, having as primary sources the Constitution of 1824 and the Decree 151/1840. The method that supported the research was the indictment. The results showed that the budget allocation was an important institute defended by the monarchy and elite and among other elements, served as a support of power and politics |
