O resgate da memória cultural ancestral na atividade da Associação das Paneleiras de Goiabeiras, Vitória/ES

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the activity of artisans who make clay pots and their organization in an associative format, as well as to discuss the rescue of ancestral cultural memory through commercial exploitation structured in the form of solidarity economy, as they are observed. historical, cultural and economic aspects in view of the restricted access to the labor market of invisible classes. Memory, in this scenario, becomes very relevant because it allows, as a constitutional right, access and greater visibility of cultures, which were silenced for a long time through Official History. It is about the need to preserve and protect part of our identity as a Brazilian, in addition to the feeling of belonging that is produced by the heritage of our ancestors, whether through cooking, celebrations, natural resources, in short, the whole accomplished for the subsistence. Based on the promotion of practices to reaffirm culture and identity, through ancestral memory, a more real democracy is promoted, in addition to propagating equality and conjecturing the individual and collective memory that are intrinsic to history. As a result of the capitalist bias, certain groups and economic activities are excluded, so that the gathering of these groups through association becomes a relevant instrument for the individual's autonomy, independence and social growth. The experience of the Associação das Paneleiras de Goiabeiras, in Vitória, Espírito Santo is an example of the possibility of harnessing the rescue of the ancestral cultural memory of a people with the need to provide income, support and the inclusion of this group. The job of the potters was the first registration of Intangible Heritage by the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage (IPHAN), in 2002, obeying constitutional criteria combined with the terms provided for in Decree No. 3,551, of August 4, 2000. The figure of the solidarity economy as an alternative to traditional capitalist models, it consists of a selfmanagement model, whose alternative mode allows production through a more active participation of agents, abandoning the figures of employer and employee. The methodology used was dialectics through bibliographic research and document analysis. In spite of the fact that the clay pot is part of the daily life of Espírito Santo, included in recipes and tables from the most diverse restaurants, the reality of the artisans in the pottery remains invisible and neglected, much because it is an artisanal and rudimentary activity, so that even the need for the realization of fundamental rights inherent to that social group persists, as well as the affirmation of income generation through the counter-hegemonic experience represented by the solidary economy. Based on this theme, the research developed seeks, based on the experience of the alternative model of solidarity economy, through the example observed at the Associação das Paneleiras de Goiabeiras, to understand the recovery of ancestral cultural memory according to the craft of this community in making, by hand, and through the use of the techniques of their ancestors, the clay pots.
