Vitória das trans: uma análise bourdieusiana da importância da defensoria pública do Espírito Santo para a luta por direitos das pessoas transexuais

Abstract

This work aims to analyze how Pierre Bourdieu's theory of fields is applied regarding the dynamics of reproduction of habitus in relation to the barriers imposed on access to justice for transsexual people in the Public Defender's Office of Espírito Santo, Human Rights Center. From this perspective, it explores the reflexes of symbolic violence in the right to the city of such individuals and compares the different structures of the city for dominant and dominated groups. It is worth mentioning that there is also a focus on gender violence experienced by the trans population for a better understanding of the domination that delimits power relations and maintains the hierarchy of social power. Thus, it permeates the struggle for power between social groups and how it interferes with the access of trans people to public services available in the city, highlighting the effective access to the legal service provided by the Public Defender.
