Violência, gênero e sexualidade: uma análise da violência contra a mulher no Município de Vila Velha/ES

Abstract

This paper aims to address the historical and social construction of gender, sexuality and human identity, as a modus operandi that structures and legitimizes discriminatory violence practices against specific oppressed groups, understanding how violence and gender articulate and perpetuate cases of violence. domestic violence and femicide in Brazil, especially with women as victims - given their hierarchically inferior position in today's society. The analysis of the studies evolved from feminist perspectives culminating in the conceptualization of gender, highlighting the current Queer Theory on the instability of human identities, which are essential to find a better way to combat such still latent violence on the national scene. , understanding that gender violence derives from a cultural construction that goes far beyond the field of intervention reached by the criminal-legal system coined with the Feminicide Law and the Maria da Penha Law.
