Deslocados e distantes: um estudo a partir das políticas de acolhimento de refugiados no Espírito Santo

Abstract

The present study aims to address the difficulties encountered by refugees arriving in new countries, especially by addressing the reality of the Holy Spirit. To this end, an exposition of the mechanisms of international protection for refugee rights and the way in which they are applied in Brazil is made in the first instance. Later, the way in which states and the population deal with the arrival of forced immigrants is discussed, commenting on the political and social impacts of these displacements. At the end, there are some concrete obstacles that need to be addressed in order to effectively manage the arrival of refugees in the country, addressing some possible ways to achieve this goal. At this moment, the discussion is brought to the context of the Capixaba, through an interview with one of the coordinators of the Nucleus of Support to Refugees of Espírito Santo - NUARES, who makes direct notes on the main problems faced by the Project in an attempt to assist the refugees who arrive at the state, as well as exposes questions essential for the integration of this group in the society of Espírito Santo.
