Padrão estético e a mulher com deficiência: uma abordagem sociológica acerca da ideologia machista e interferência midiática

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the mechanisms used as a way of producing non-existence, through inferiorization, as well as social invisibility suffered by certain groups. In this sense, it is necessary to understand the sociological phenomena related to them, in order to broaden the panorama about the situation of women in a macho and patriarchal society, since they have, throughout history, remained in a scenario of constant inequalities and exclusion Social. In addition, such an approach argues that the aesthetic pattern can be considered a form of social inferiorization, propitiated by society as a whole, and propagated by the media. From this theoretical walk, the right to be different is punctuated, while the purpose of the research is to discuss the exclusion of the disabled person, especially the disabled woman. Therefore, this study aimed to study the double invisibility of women with disabilities in Brazilian society.
