A invisibilidade das doenças mentais ocupacionais no mundo contemporâneo do trabalho

Abstract

Occupational diseases are responsible for the death and health deterioration of a large contingent of workers but remain largely invisible. Among occupational diseases, mental disorders are even more unknown and underestimated by employers and employees, which undermine their effective confrontation. Therefore, it is necessary to make occupational diseases visible and, also, to investigate and adequately prevent them, particularly, occupational mental disorders, in order to preserve the fundamental human right embodied by workers’ mental health, which has been frequently destabilized in the contemporary labor world.
