dc.description.abstractThrough this work, it is intended to verify the hypothesis in the sense that the blockchain technology has intrinsic properties that enable exercise rights, particularly those related to individual freedoms. Demonstration of the historical motivation for the rise of bitcoin. Conceptual and theoretical delimitation about blockchain technology, which is the foundation of the bitcoin ecosystem. Conceptual and theoretical delimitation of network models and system association world economic and the bitcoin network. Conceptual and theoretical delimitation of hashing, public key infrastructure, and consensus protocol, with respective analysis of the importance to the bitcoin network. Addressing the differences between bitcoin, ethereum, and other altcoins, and the impact for applying blockchain solutions. Conceptual and theoretical delimitation of individual freedoms from the perspective of property, economic freedom, freedom of expression, and privacy. Analysis of some blockchain technology applications, implemented or implementable, in order to verify that this technology is suitable for protecting and guarantee individual freedoms. The development and completion of the work demonstrate that the blockchain infrastructure, particularly bitcoin, has fundamental characteristics to be an instrument for the protection of freedoms individualpt_BR
dc.description.resumoAtravés do presente trabalho, pretende-se verificar a hipótese no sentido de que a tecnologia blockchain possui propriedades intrínsecas, que possibilitam o exercício de direitos, particularmente os relacionados às liberdades individuais. Demonstração da motivação histórica para o surgimento do bitcoin. Delimitação conceitual e teórica a respeito da tecnologia blockchain, que é a base do ecossistema do bitcoin. Delimitação conceitual e teórica dos modelos de rede e associação ao sistema econômico mundial e à rede do bitcoin. Delimitação conceitual e teórica de hashing, infraestrutura de chave pública, e protocolo de consenso, com respectiva análise da importância para a rede do bitcoin. Abordagem das diferenças entre o bitcoin, ethereum, e outras altcoins, e o impacto para a aplicação de soluções em lockchain. Delimitação conceitual e teórica de liberdades individuais a partir da ótica da propriedade, da liberdade econômica, da liberdade de expressão, e da privacidade. Análise de algumas aplicações da tecnologia blockchain, implementadas ou implementáveis, de modo a verificar se essa tecnologia se presta a proteger e garantir as liberdades individuais. O desenvolvimento e a conclusão do trabalho demonstram que a infraestrutura blockchain, particularmente a do bitcoin, possui características fundamentais para ser instrumento de proteção de liberdades individuais.pt_BR
