Abstract

The special procedure of the jury is provided for in the Brazilian Constitution, having a historical role in the participation of society in state judgments Democratic Law in which we live. In this sense, we can also say that it is a procedure full of fundamental rights and guarantees and principles which must be strictly adhered to. It turns out that, despite the constitutional provision, the media, as the main means of communication and dissemination of information from the current world, repeatedly ends up running over such predictions, causing in several cases, as in the examples that we will see in the text, the defendants are convicted long before their own trial in court. It's known that the media has the undeniable ability to shape thoughts and even the way of being and acting of the human being, as well as creating and elaborating ways of doing from a trial to a great spectacle, with wide repercussions throughout the Brazil. Also, illustrate the violation of one of the main constitutional principles of the jury, the principle of sovereignty of verdicts, which is susceptible to interference external, which can taint the actual verdict of the jurors. So, search with the present text, analyze the presence of the media in the current technological world, observing the influence of the media environment and its consequences in the procedure special jury, with the demonstration of examples of real cases of competence. from the jury court
