Abstract

The present study focuses on the thinking of Miguel Reale, the greatest exponent of three-dimensionalism in Brazil, with the aim of introducing the reader to this theory, investigating the three elements of the juridical reality pointed out and, finally, to try to establish a unitary concretization between them to deal with traditional problems of the science of law, such as the discussed concepts of validity, effectiveness and foundation. Next, other particularities of Reale's work will be observed, culminating in his historical culturalism, an important background that cannot be left out. Finally, an attempt is made to draw a critical conclusion and offer perspectives for further developments on the theme
