A noção de justiça social, em Nancy Fraser e o Estado plurinacional: da reificação cultural, pela identidade nacional ao reconhecimento paritário do outro

Abstract

This article seeks to analyze the relationship between Nancy Fraser's theoretical constructions about recognition, with the general aspects of the new model of Plurinational State that emerged in Latin America. To this end, we will analyze the two-dimensional conception of social justice in Nancy Fraser, her view on the politics of recognition and the problems that the Modern National State, as an institution regulating life in society, presents in the search for the realization of this social justice. Then, we will verify, based on the Plurinational State Model, the possibility of achieving satisfactory answers to the problems of the Modern National State pointed out by Nancy Fraser, thus describing how the present is configured in a reflection of the past, that is, the national identity of the National State is still present in the peripheral Latin American context. Thus, from the new Latin American Plurinational State, a new vision of the State can be perceived, which may break with the shackles of the National State, towards an effective social justice, where redistribution and recognition are seen as faces of the same coin
